Long ago, in ages past there was nothing but the void—a vast and endless place. There was no light, no darkness, just the vastness of the empty expanse. I’m unsure as to when exactly I came into being. I only know that I was nothing and then something, like waking from a dream into a dark, unknown place.
I was frightened and alone. I didn’t know where I was as I floated and flailed, reaching out into the great nothing. Here, there were no markers to give the sensation of travel. There was no word for it—just my primal desire to escape. I struggled and lashed out, screaming into the void. Eventually, I gave up—confused, afraid, and exhausted. I began to weep, and where my tears fell, cosmic dust mixed with them, forming the very stars and planets.
As light flooded the universe, it filled me with hope and curiosity. I took a breath, and life sprang into being as I exhaled. I began creating and exploring, learning, and adapting. Soon, the entire universe was teeming with life.
In my exploration of the cosmos, I shaped galaxies, nebulae, and intricate systems of celestial bodies. Amidst this vast tapestry, I turned my attention to a young planet teeming with potential. It was a sparkling gem of a world filled with possibilities.
The first inhabitants—tiny, curious beings I named Seterians—emerged from the primordial oceans. I delighted in watching them crawl from the waters, exploring the lands as they adapted and evolved through countless ages. Trials and triumphs marked their journey, shaped by the constant ebb and flow of existence.
But soon after, to my surprise, disaster struck. A rogue planet smashed into this beautiful place. Its impact was devastating. My heart sank, and I watched the shattered remains of my creation drift through the cosmos. But from that destruction sprang a wonder. A new world formed. Where large pieces of the old coalesced and impacted another, life once more sprang forth. I named this new world Aramyth and continued to watch it with hope. However, this time, I protected Aramyth by creating its three guardian moons, who would make sure no other stray would interrupt its development.
In time, the Seterians once again developed. Where the last shard of the original world impacted the new, they sprang forth from its crater, exploring their new world and evolving into beings that once again captured my attention and endlessly entertained me. Eventually, I wanted them to have others to share their world.
From the reflections of stars upon still waters, I birthed the Undwyn —beings with minds sharp as the finest blades and hearts warm as the sun. They sought knowledge and harmony, weaving tales and songs that echoed across the expanse of Aramyth.
Amidst the playful dances of winds through the forest, I brought forth the Elysiri, the embodiment of mirth—mischievous spirits who found joy in every jest and revel in the dance of life’s eternal game.
As I watched, fascinated by their resilience and ingenuity, I yearned for a closer connection. Then, in an inspired moment, I took their forms and walked among them, experiencing their existence firsthand—birth, life, and death became my own. I was deeply moved by the cycles of their lives, and it was from that experience I created time itself.
Having grown fond of and seen my creations flourish, I returned to my celestial realm, content. I now desired rest, and I dreamt of their ongoing tales. Eons passed, and the vibrant world of Aramyth endured—a testament to the enduring cycle of creation and discovery.
I am Ahm’ren, the creator, mother, and protector of Aramyth, and I wish nothing more than for all my children to live peaceful, loving coexistence.
